With the global pursuit of clean energy, hydrogen energy has gained significant attention as a low-carbon, environmentally friendly source. China has introduced a series of policies to promote the development and application of hydrogen energy and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Technological advancements and the improvement of the industrial chain have laid a solid foundation for the development of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, which demonstrate significant advantages in specific sectors like logistics, transportation, and urban sanitation, with market demand steadily increasing.
The hydrogen fuel cell chassis essentially integrates a hydrogen fuel cell system and hydrogen storage tanks onto a traditional chassis. Key components include the hydrogen fuel cell stack, hydrogen storage tanks, electric motors, and electronic control systems. The fuel cell stack acts as the power generation unit of the chassis, where hydrogen gas reacts electrochemically with oxygen from the air to produce electricity, which is stored in the power battery to drive the vehicle. The only byproduct is water vapor, achieving zero pollution and zero emissions.
Long Range: Due to the high efficiency of hydrogen fuel cells, vehicles with hydrogen fuel cell chassis typically have a long driving range. For instance, a recently custom-developed 4.5-ton hydrogen fuel cell chassis by Yiwei Automotive can travel approximately 600 kilometers on a full tank of hydrogen (constant speed method).
Quick Refueling: Hydrogen sanitation vehicles can be refueled in just a few to over ten minutes, similar to the refueling time for gasoline vehicles, offering fast energy replenishment.
Environmental Benefits: Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles produce only water during operation, offering true zero emissions and no environmental pollution.
The hydrogen fuel cell chassis is designed for long-range and quick refueling needs, making it widely applicable in urban sanitation, logistics, transportation, and public transit. Particularly in sanitation operations, for long-haul transport needs from urban waste transfer stations to incineration plants (daily mileage of 300 to 500 kilometers), hydrogen sanitation vehicles not only meet the range requirements but also effectively address environmental challenges and urban traffic restrictions.
Currently, Yiwei Automotive has developed hydrogen fuel cell chassis for 4.5-ton, 9-ton, and 18-ton vehicles and is in the process of developing and manufacturing a 10-ton chassis.
Building on the hydrogen fuel cell chassis, Yiwei Automotive has successfully created various specialized vehicles including multi-functional dust suppression vehicles, compact garbage trucks, sweepers, water trucks, logistics vehicles, and barrier cleaning vehicles. Moreover, to meet personalized customer demands, Yiwei Automotive offers customized services for hydrogen fuel cell vehicle chassis, comprehensively catering to diverse customer needs.
Against this backdrop, Yiwei Automotive aims to seize the opportunity to deepen technological innovation, enhance the performance and reliability of hydrogen fuel cell chassis and specialized vehicles, actively explore new market demands, expand its product line, and adapt to more diverse application scenarios.
