In January 2023, Yiwei Automotive was honored as a “Gazelle Enterprise” in Sichuan Province. Gazelles are known for their agility, swiftness, and ability to leap and run. It symbolizes Yiwei Automotive’s characteristics of fast growth, strong innovation capabilities, specialization in a new field, and great development potential. It represents a small and medium-sized enterprise entering a high-growth period.
In February 2023, the unveiling ceremony of the commercial vehicle chassis project of Yiwei Automotive’s Suizhou Branch (Hubei Yiwei New Energy Automotive Co., Ltd.) was grandly held in Suizhou.
In March 2023, Yiwei Automotive completed its Series A financing and obtained exclusive strategic investment of tens of millions of yuan from Beit Fund.
In May 2023, Yiwei Automotive jointly established the Sichuan Province Electric Vehicle Power System and Safety Engineering Technology Research Center with the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, building a bridge for school-enterprise cooperation with prestigious universities.
In May 2023, Yiwei Automotive invested in and completed the construction of the first domestic dedicated assembly line for new energy vehicle chassis in Suizhou, Hubei, and held a grand production launch ceremony.
In May 2023, the Yiwei Automotive Chassis Manufacturing Center officially started production, and the independently developed 4.5-ton and 18-ton pure electric chassis rolled off the assembly line.
In September 2023, the first 18-ton pure electric bus rescue vehicle jointly developed by Chengdu Yiwei New Energy Automotive Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Zhongqi Gaoke Co., Ltd. was officially delivered to Chengdu Public Transport Group.
In August 2023, Yiwei Automotive conducted high-temperature tests in Turpan, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, demonstrating excellent performance in an environment exceeding 40°C.
In October 2023, Yiwei Automotive’s independently developed 4.5-ton hydrogen fuel cell chassis and 10-ton pure electric chassis were completed.
In October 2023, Yiwei Automotive held its 5th anniversary celebration and a product launch event for the full range of new energy dedicated vehicles at its factory in Suizhou, Hubei.
In November 2023, the 18-ton pure electric roadblock clearance vehicle jointly developed by Chengdu Yiwei New Energy Automotive Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Zhongqi Gaoke Co., Ltd. was officially delivered to Yinchuan Public Transport Co., Ltd. A total of 6 vehicles were delivered, realizing the first batch of orders for new energy roadblock clearance vehicles in China.
In December 2023, Yiwei Automotive signed an export order with PLN, a subsidiary of Indonesia, for 300 electric chassis.
In December 2023, Yiwei Automotive conducted cold weather road tests in Heihe, Heilongjiang Province, to verify the adaptability of the entire vehicle and system components in cold regions, as well as the adaptability of the vehicle’s thermal management system. This provides a real and reliable basis for future product development and upgrades.
Looking back on 2023, it was a year of leapfrog development and great strides forward. Adhering to the philosophy of “unity, dedication, and endeavor,” we embrace both glory and challenges.
