How to Protect Your Pure Electric Sanitation Vehicles in Winter Use?-1

01 Maintenance of Power Battery

1. In winter, the overall energy consumption of the vehicle increases. When the battery State of Charge (SOC) is below 30%, it is recommended to charge the battery in a timely manner.
2. Charging power automatically decreases in low-temperature environments. Therefore, after using the vehicle, it is advisable to charge it as soon as possible to avoid a decrease in battery temperature that may affect charging efficiency.
3. Ensure that the vehicle automatically disconnects power after being fully charged to prevent inaccurate battery level display and potential vehicle malfunctions caused by unplugging the charging cable midway.

4. For regular vehicle use, it is recommended to fully charge the vehicle regularly (at least once a week). If the vehicle remains unused for an extended period, it is advised to maintain the battery level between 40% and 60%. If the vehicle is not used for more than three months, it is necessary to fully charge the power battery every three months and then discharge it to a level between 40% and 60% to avoid battery performance degradation or vehicle malfunctions.
5. If conditions allow, it is recommended to park the vehicle indoors during nighttime to prevent excessively low battery temperatures that may affect battery range.
6. Smooth driving helps conserve electrical energy. Avoid abrupt acceleration and braking to maintain maximum driving range.

Friendly reminder: In low-temperature environments, battery activity decreases, affecting both charging time and pure electric range. It is advised to plan your trips in advance, ensuring sufficient battery level to avoid disruption to regular vehicle use.

02 Driving on Icy, Snowy, or Wet Roads

On icy, snowy, or wet roads, the lower coefficient of friction makes it more difficult to start driving and increases braking distance compared to normal road conditions. Therefore, extra caution is required when driving under such conditions.

Precautions for using pure electric sanitation vehicles in winter1

Precautions for driving on icy, snowy, or wet roads:

1. Maintain sufficient distance from the vehicle in front.
2. Avoid high-speed driving, sudden acceleration, emergency braking, and sharp turns.
3. Use the foot brake gently during braking to avoid excessive force.
Note: When using anti-skid chains, the vehicle’s ABS system may become inactive, so it is necessary to use the brakes cautiously.

03 Driving in Foggy Conditions

Driving in foggy conditions presents safety hazards due to reduced visibility.

Precautions for driving in foggy conditions:

1. Before driving, thoroughly check the vehicle’s lighting system, wiper system, etc., to ensure they are functioning properly.
2. Honk the horn when necessary to indicate your position and alert pedestrians or other vehicles.
3. Turn on fog lights, low-beam headlights, position lights, and clearance lights. It is recommended to also activate hazard warning lights when visibility is less than 200 meters.
4. Periodically use the windshield wipers to remove condensation and improve visibility.
5. Avoid using high-beam headlights as the light scatters through fog, severely affecting the driver’s visibility.
