Yiwei Auto makes its debut on the third season of “Tianfu Craftsman,” a large-scale skill challenge program focusing on the Green Hydrogen Energy Challenge

Recently, Yiwei Auto appeared on the third season of “Tianfu Craftsman,” a multimedia skill challenge program jointly created by Chengdu Radio and Television Station, the Chengdu Federation of Trade Unions, and the Chengdu Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. The show, based in Chengdu and covering the Sichuan-Chongqing economic circle, features immersive labor production scenes and showcases the skills of craftsmen through exciting and visually engaging competitions.

This episode took place in Chengdu’s Green Hydrogen Energy Industrial Zone, where Yiwei Auto, along with Jin Xing Group, Shudu Bus, and Sichuan Lynk & Co, introduced the “Tianfu Craftsman OK Plan.” Yiwei Auto showcased their 18-ton new energy sprinkler truck in the “Water Dragon Battle” project challenge.

Yiwei Auto has been deeply involved in the new energy specialty vehicle sector for over 18 years, covering both pure electric and hydrogen fuel cell technologies. The company has not only overcome key technical challenges in fuel cell chassis but has also collaborated with chassis manufacturers and modification enterprises to build a complete hydrogen energy vehicle ecosystem.

In 2020, Yiwei Auto launched China’s first 9-ton hydrogen fuel sprinkler truck, which began its nearly four-year green service journey in Chengdu’s Pidu District the following year. Known for its excellent environmental performance, efficient energy use, and stable operation, it has received widespread acclaim.

To date, Yiwei Auto has developed 4.5-ton, 9-ton, and 18-ton hydrogen fuel cell chassis, with modified models including multifunctional dust suppression vehicles, compaction garbage trucks, sweeper trucks, sprinkler trucks, insulation vehicles, logistics vehicles, and barrier cleaning trucks, which are operational in regions such as Sichuan, Guangdong, Shandong, Hubei, and Zhejiang.

As a local Chengdu enterprise, Yiwei Auto has always driven “innovation” and led with “quality.” Six core technical personnel have been awarded the title of “Pidu Craftsman.” Guided by the spirit of craftsmanship, Yiwei continues to explore cutting-edge technologies in smart driving and vehicle networking, striving to convert advanced technological achievements into practical applications and provide users with smarter, greener, and more convenient new energy sanitation vehicles.

In this “Tianfu Craftsman” challenge, Yiwei Auto will present their self-developed 18-ton sprinkler truck, focusing on challenges related to the truck’s intelligent operating system, such as repairing fault codes to restore sprinkler functions and precisely identifying pedestrians to stop sprinkling actions.

After four years of research and innovation, Yiwei Auto is set to bring new surprises to the market. The results of the October competition will be broadcast across Chengdu Radio and Television Station’s multimedia network. Stay tuned!
