This morning, Yiwei Automotive held a grand launch ceremony for its 2024 high-temperature and plateau extreme testing expedition at its Hubei New Energy Manufacturing Center. Cheng A Luo, Chairman of Chengli Group, and colleagues from Yiwei Automotive’s Hubei Manufacturing Center were present to witness this significant moment.
The event began with a speech by Cheng A Luo, Chairman of Chengli Group, who detailed the background and profound significance of the summer high-temperature testing. He then officially announced the departure of the test vehicles.
For this summer’s high-temperature and plateau testing, Yiwei Automotive has selected its self-developed new energy sanitation vehicles, including a 4.5-ton compressed garbage truck, a 10-ton kitchen waste truck, a 12-ton dust suppression truck, an 18-ton sprinkler truck, and an 18-ton sweeper truck, covering multiple areas of sanitation operations comprehensively.
The test team will depart from Suizhou City, Hubei Province, and head to Turpan, Xinjiang, for extreme performance testing in high-temperature environments. They will then move to Golmud, Qinghai Province, for plateau adaptability testing before returning to Suizhou City, Hubei Province, covering tens of thousands of kilometers in the process.
The testing will not only cover the basic vehicle performance aspects, such as range, braking performance, and thermal management systems, but also include specialized tests on the operational performance of the equipment. The goal is to evaluate the vehicle’s comprehensive performance and reliability under extreme conditions from multiple angles.
Yiwei Automotive will lead the industry by pioneering the testing of new energy sanitation vehicles in high-temperature and plateau environments within China. By simulating real-world working conditions, they will assess the coverage area, evenness, and cleaning effects of sprinkler trucks, dust suppression trucks, and sweepers, and evaluate the cycle operation time and functional performance of the compressed garbage trucks. According to the plan, each day, the sprinkler trucks, dust suppression trucks, and sweepers will complete operations with 2 tanks of water, while the compressed garbage trucks will complete 50 cycle operations. Based on the test results and data analysis, targeted optimization and upgrade plans will be formulated.
For new energy sanitation vehicles, high-temperature environments not only challenge the core technologies such as vehicle range, equipment performance, and thermal management systems, but also provide a comprehensive test of product safety, reliability, and overall performance. This is a crucial moment for Yiwei Automotive to showcase its exceptional quality and extraordinary strength to the market and users.
Last year, Yiwei Automotive was a pioneer in the new energy sanitation vehicle sector by implementing summer high-temperature and winter cold-extreme tests to validate vehicle performance in extreme conditions. Building on this, the company has continuously deepened technological innovation, upgraded product quality comprehensively, and set new benchmarks for the development of the new energy sanitation vehicle industry.
