On the morning of June 27th, Yiwei Auto held a grand ceremony at the Hubei New Energy Manufacturing Center for the mass delivery of their self-developed 18-ton new energy sanitation vehicles to Chengli Environmental Resources Co., Ltd. The first batch of 6 vehicles (totaling 13 to be delivered) including sweepers, dust suppressors, and water sprayers were handed over.
Attending the event were Luo Juntao, District Chief of Zengdu District People’s Government, along with leaders from the District’s Economic and Technological Development Bureau, Market Supervision Bureau, Urban Management Law Enforcement Bureau, Investment Promotion Service Center, and Economic Development Zone Management Committee. Also present were Cheng Aluo, Chairman of Chengli Auto Group; Zhou Houshan, Chairman of Chengli Environmental Resources; Cui Pu Jin, Product Director of Hangzhou Times Electric Company; Wang Junyuan, General Manager of Hubei Yiwei New Energy Automobiles; and Li Xianghong, Deputy General Manager of Hubei Yiwei New Energy Automobiles.
District Chief Luo expressed that the delivery of these sanitation vehicles marks an important step in the emerging track of intelligence, connectivity, and new energy. This not only showcases the profound technical strength and market insight of both parties but also reflects a deep understanding and firm commitment to environmental protection and smart city construction. These pure electric sanitation vehicles will be put into use in Suizhou City, greatly assisting local urban sanitation management. Suizhou City will continue to increase investment and support to promote the transformation and upgrading of the local special vehicle industry.
Chairman Cheng Aluo congratulated the delivery and expressed gratitude for the long-standing support from the district government leadership.
General Manager Wang Junyuan highlighted the features and advantages of the delivered vehicles.
It’s reported that these vehicles utilize the latest generation electric drive axle technology from Hangzhou Times Electric, boasting advantages such as low noise, long endurance, intelligent operation, and high energy efficiency. For instance, the 18-ton sweeper is equipped with a 231-degree power battery and features Yiwei Auto’s independently developed applications for visual recognition, decentralized control of drive systems, and energy-saving enhancements. It rivals similar sanitation vehicles with 280-degree power in terms of operational range, with a single charge supporting up to 8 hours of operation, saving approximately 50,000 RMB per vehicle for sanitation enterprises in terms of procurement costs.
The vehicles delivered to Chengli Environmental Resources will be entirely put into local use in Suizhou City. This marks the first batch of locally manufactured and utilized new energy sanitation vehicles in Suizhou City, a milestone for the development of the local specialty vehicle industry and a showcase of the achievements of cooperation between Chengli Auto Group and Yiwei Auto.
