On October 19, 2023, the headquarters of Yiwei New Energy Vehicle Co., Ltd. and the manufacturing base in Suizhou, Hubei, were filled with laughter and excitement as they welcomed the company’s 5th-anniversary celebration.
At 9:00 am, the celebration took place in the headquarters’ conference room, with approximately 120 company leaders, department heads, and employees participating in the event either in person or through remote video connections.
At 9:18 am, the host announced the official start of the celebration. First, everyone watched a commemorative video specially prepared for the 5th-anniversary celebration titled “Together, Setting Off Again,” which allowed everyone to review the company’s journey over the past five years.
Following the brief video, the company’s leadership delivered speeches. First, with warm applause, Mr. Li Hongpeng, Chairman of Yiwei Automotive, was invited to give a speech. Mr. Li expressed, “These five years have been both happy and anxious. Thanks to the hard work of all our colleagues, the company has developed rapidly and earned a good reputation in the industry and among customers. In order to establish Yiwei as a well-known brand in the commercial vehicle field, we still have a long way to go and need all our colleagues to continue their hard work.” Mr. Li’s excellent speech once again received enthusiastic applause.
Next, Yiwei Automotive’s Deputy General Manager, Yuan Feng, delivered a speech remotely. He first extended his best wishes for Yiwei’s 5th anniversary and then reviewed the company’s development over the past five years, expressing gratitude for the hard work of all Yiwei employees. Finally, Mr. Yuan stated, “Over the past five years, the Yiwei team has always sought breakthroughs in exploration and achieved success through continuous innovation. We look forward to even greater development for the company in the next five years and stepping onto the global stage of new energy commercial vehicles.”
Since its establishment, Yiwei Automotive has regarded technological innovation as its foundation, with the proportion of the company’s technical development team exceeding 50%. Dr. Xia Fugen, Chief Engineer of Yiwei Automotive, shared the team’s progress in product development via remote video from the manufacturing base in Suizhou, Hubei. He stated, “The entire history of Yiwei’s growth is a history of struggle. From developing the first chassis product to nearly 20 mature chassis products, from electrification in the upper assembly to achieving informatization and intelligence, and further extending to AI recognition and autonomous driving, in just five years, we have not only accumulated technology through our endeavors but also Yiwei’s spirit and culture. This is a valuable wealth that can be continuously passed down.”
Next, the host invited representatives from the veteran employees to come on stage and share their stories of growth with the company.
Yang Qianwen, from the Product Manager Department of the Technology Center, said, “During my time at Yiwei, I have summarized my personal growth in two words: ‘willingness to sacrifice.’ Although I have given up a comfortable working environment and the time spent with my family, I have gained industry experience, earned recognition from customers, and obtained the company’s platform and trust. From an engineer to a product manager, I have achieved self-value.”
Shi Dapeng, from the Electrical Department of the Technology Center, stated, “I have been with Yiwei for over four years and have witnessed the company’s rapid development. When I joined in 2019, the company had just over ten employees, and now we have more than 110. I have gained valuable project and technical experience throughout the years of development. There were challenging processes and wonderful moments of working together with colleagues. In the end, we delivered projects on time, which gave me a sense of accomplishment. I am grateful for the company and my teammates for their help and support.”
Liu Jiaming from the Marketing Center said, “There are many memorable moments that have pushed me to continuously improve within this working atmosphere, keeping up with everyone and the company’s pace. Taking on the role I should have and working with a company that I have chosen and approved of, walking together, and achieving common goals, is a fortunate and fulfilling thing for me. Yiwei has slowly confirmed my thoughts over the past few years.”
Wang Tao from the Manufacturing Department of the Production Quality Center said, “I have dedicated my best youth to Yiwei and hope to continue to shine on Yiwei’s platform in the future. In the five years of work, we Yiwei employees have always adhered to the spirit of ‘unity and hard work’.”
Tang Lijuan from the After-sales Service Department of the Production Quality Center said, “Today marks my 611th day as a Yiwei employee, witnessing the company’s rapid development. As a member of the company, I have grown simultaneouslywith Yiwei. The company’s emphasis on customer-centricity and continuous improvement has inspired me to provide better service to our customers. I am proud to be a part of Yiwei.”
After the employee representatives shared their stories, the celebration continued with a series of exciting activities, including a talent show, team-building games, and lucky draws. These activities aimed to enhance teamwork, foster a positive company culture, and create a joyful atmosphere.
During the celebration, Yiwei Automotive also recognized outstanding employees and teams for their contributions and achievements. Awards were given for categories such as “Outstanding Employee of the Year,” “Best Sales Team,” “Innovation and Technology Award,” and more. The recognition of these individuals and teams further motivated and encouraged everyone to continue striving for excellence.
